PROJECT 1

Designing Captions for Docs

Many enterprise users struggle to fully transition to Google Docs due to missing advanced formatting features. A key blocker was the lack of captions for images, tables, and drawings, along with a structured Table of Figures, limiting interoperability with Microsoft Word and disrupting workflows for businesses, academics, and legal professionals. By addressing these issues, we improved the experience for 500,000+ imported documents per week.

I designed the end-to-end flow for Captions and Table of Figures, making document creation more seamless and accessible, in 3 milestones for engineers to build. Example images below. 

PROJECT 2

In-Product Education for Users

A key challenge in Google Docs and other Editors products is ensuring users can easily discover and adopt core functionality. Many users, especially those new to the platform, struggle to get started—while experienced users often remain unaware of powerful features that could improve their workflows.

To address this, I analyzed competitor onboarding flows to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. I studied both first-time user experiences and repeat engagement flows to understand how we could better introduce key features and resurface them when relevant.

Next Billion Users Projects

  1. Designed solutions with a 15% increase in optimization for E-commerce tool for the Next Billion Users team for $12 billion problem in India.

  2. Conducted user research, competitive analysis and designed early product ideas for a user onboarding platform for emerging markets.
